Ashley Graham was born on November 22, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. Two of her sisters were raised in the same household, and she was regularly bullied at school because of the large size of her thighs. Graham was diagnosed as having hyperactivity/attention deficit disorder soon following her graduation from elementary school. Although she had to face numerous obstacles, which included A.D.H.D. in her teenage years, Graham managed to conquer them. Graham's talent was spotted when she was 12 by a representative when she was out looking for a job in Nebraska. Before she graduated from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2005, she appeared in billboards and magazines. At the beginning of Graham's modelling career, she was a model but her physical characteristics meant it was difficult for her to land work. Graham was offered a variety of jobs as catalog models, however there was a belief that she would not be able to progress beyond basic projects. The session castings were wrong. Thankfully, her career exploded. Sally Singer from "Vogue" interviewed her, and this was one of her major achievements. Graham then made an appearance in Glamour magazine's 2009 "These Bodies Look Beautiful at all sizes". Graham was in the news again after she starred in an ad to promote Lane Bryant that ended up being censored in a number of nations. The ad received over 800,000 hits before it was taken down. The situation grew uncontrollable, and she addressed it during"Tonight Show "Tonight show" which was hosted by Jay Leno. Graham became a well-known plus size model. Grande began singing and performing in her teens. In 2008, she got a part on The Broadway show 13, and started appearing on TV in smaller roles. Her big break came in 2010 when she landed a role on the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious. She appeared as Cat Valentine, a teenager attending a performing arts school. The show ended in 2013, and she was a part of the spinoff show, Sam & Cat.
