Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competes within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 and the 2015 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia started her professional journey back in 2003. She has won several titles including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO in the second round and went on to win her two fights following, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko was victorious with a unanimous decision. She was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
